Purpose of Focus Areas

Essential for categorizing your program and defining its goals and target audiences. Selected focus areas should align with your program's primary goals and audience for better understanding by other users. Please note that exact matches may not always be found; be open to selecting synonyms or closely related topics.

Selection Process

Use the search box to find up to five relevant focus areas aligning with your program. The nested taxonomy structure is displayed alongside your search terms (see Figures 1 and 2). Example : For a program on Native American Early Childhood Education: Search for 'Primary Education' under 'Education -> Education Levels.' Also, search 'Native American' and choose 'American Indian or Alaska Native' under 'Population Focus -> Racial Groups.' For a program on Palliative Care for the elderly: Search and select 'Palliative Care' under 'Public Health -> Healthcare' (Figure 3). Also, search and select 'Elderly' under 'Population Focus -> Age Groups.'
